At Words For Welcome, awareness is at the forefront of our work. Our awareness campaign hopes to bring insight into the lives of refugees and their individual stories beyond the headlines. Join us on our journey in creating a more enlightened and compassionate society for everyone everywhere.
ABOUT
Who are we
We are group of students from Cheltenham Ladies' College, who are passionate about raising awareness on the effects of the refugee crisis on a human scale. From looking at the media's coverage of the refugee crisis, the stories of people leaving their home for refuge become forgotten amongst the heap of numbers and statistics. We would like to fight against this through our journalism, which we hope would encourage people to empathise more with individuals affected by the crisis and would inspire creative action for further awareness.
