Putting names to numbers in the refugee crisis

Words for Welcome is a project that was created by a group of girls from Cheltenham Ladies' College in the UK. The aim of the project is to humanise the topic of the refugee crisis, whose waning coverage in the media has been desensitised from the effects the crisis has on individuals - just like you and us. Through the journalism in this website and our instagram content, we hope to raise awareness about how the refugee crisis has affected people, by sharing our take on events, policies, and highlighting individuals' stories. Through our creatives competition, we also hope to encourage you all to engage with this important topic. Let us all be the voice for the unheard!
